Program Overview This beginner-friendly 10-week camp will introduce students to coding and basic website design through simple, hands-on activities. Students will learn Scratch programming, create games and animations, and explore how websites are designed using HTML and CSS. The program is designed to build creativity, problem-solving, and basic technology skills. Key Concepts • Introduction to Scratch • Sequences and events • Motion and animation • Loops and conditional statements • Variables and basic game design • Debugging and problem-solving • Introduction to website design • HTML basics • CSS basics • Webpage structure and styling • Creating a simple website 10-Week Roadmap Weeks 1–2: Scratch Basics Students will learn the Scratch interface, sprites, backgrounds, blocks, sequences, and basic commands. Weeks 3–4: Animation & Interactive Projects Students will create animations and interactive projects using motion, events, sounds, costumes, and simple programming logic. Weeks 5–6: Loops, Conditions & Game Development Students will learn loops, conditional statements, variables, and basic game mechanics while creating a simple Scratch game. Weeks 7–8: Introduction to Website Design Students will learn how websites work and explore HTML, webpage structure, headings, paragraphs, images, links, and basic page layouts. Week 9: CSS & Website Styling Students will learn basic CSS, including colors, fonts, spacing, backgrounds, borders, and simple webpage styling. Week 10: Final Project & Presentation Students will complete a final project, either a Scratch game or a simple website, and present their work.
